Human trafficking in North-East goes unnoticed

TRAFFICKING OF women and children from the North-Eastern states of India and its bordering countries is a serious issue, but it has so far not drawn public attention.
The result of a survey done by an NGO reveals that around 10,000 people, mostly children, are trafficked into the North-East with a good number smuggled from Bangladesh, Nepal and other South-East Asian countries.
